Just say no to phone scams!

Scams targeting immigrants are nothing new. The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), the government agency that oversees immigration, has several online resources to help immigrants identify and avoid common immigration scams.

Recently, USCIS sent out the following email, warning people of a new scam that involves calling immigrants and claiming to be from USCIS itself. The scammers even have software that can make it look like the call is coming from the USCIS number.

Plaza Voices: New License, New Look

Colorado Drivers Licenses are getting a new look! The new licenses will be issued at three offices, in Littleton, Aurora, and Frisco, during the pilot program starting this month. Other offices will continue issuing the older format for now.

Though this will not immediately affect immigrants seeking licenses under the Colorado Road and Community Safety Act (SB251), license holders should be assured that their licenses are still good until they expire.
