Recording Studios at Denver Public Library

Denver Public Library has several studios throughout the city for customer use. Create a beat, record a song or podcast!

All studios require a valid Denver Public Library card for use, and there is no food or drink allowed inside any of the recording studios.

We encourage you to make a reservation for time in the recording studio by visiting or calling one of the branches listed below. Reservations can be made one at a time, up to 2 weeks in advance. Each reservation is no more than 2 hours.

How It Works

Reserve Your Time

Use of the recording studios are by reservation.

  • Reservations are 2 hours, once per week
  • Reservations can be made up to 2 weeks in advance
  • A Denver Public Library card is required
  • Call or visit one of the available branches above to book your session.

Create!

  • Staff will help you get started.
  • There is no food or drinks allowed in the studio at ant time.
  • Save your work and clean up before your 2-hour session ends.

Note: Some locations have additional instruments available. Please call or visit if you have specific questions.

Reservation Use and Policies

To ensure safe and fair access:

  • Check in with ideaLAB staff before using the studio.
  • Late arrivals: reservations are canceled after 10 minutes.
  • If the studio is unavailable due to maintenance, staff will notify you when possible
  • Do not attempt to repair or disassemble studio hardware
  • Studio lights must remain on for safety reasons.
  • There is no food or drink allowed in the studio at any time.
  • Unsafe behavior or refusal to follow staff instructions can result in loss of studio privileges.
