Eligibility Requirements

Mobile Services visits older adult residences, DHA housing sites, Colorado Village Collaborative sites, shelter locations, and food distribution sites on a semi-monthly and monthly basis. Service selection is made based off the following criteria:

• A significant number of residents are unable to visit the library due to barriers to accessing a branch library.
• Resident sites must offer affordable housing.
• Site locations must have an available parking spot that can accommodate the Bookmobile (roughly 25 feet). 

We review service quarterly, if you are interested in the bookmobile visiting your site and meet the above criteria, please reach out to get added to our waitlist. Site selection is up to the discretion of Denver Public Library.

Our regular service school visit schedule is determined at the beginning of the school year. Mobile Services works closely with Denver Public Schools to select locations for service that meet all the following criteria:

• Are within Denver city limits.
• Are not within easy walking distance to a public library branch (5 blocks, no major obstacles).
• 70% or more of students are eligible for free or reduced lunch under the National School Lunch Program.
• Schools with no library and/or library staff.

• The event is a community event
• Event must be free and accessible to the public
