Note: Broadway entrance is closed. Enter at 14th and Acoma

In-Building Hours

Sunday: 12-5 p.m.
Monday-Thursday: 1-6 p.m.

Curbside and Hold Window Hours

Sunday: 12-5 p.m.
Monday-Thursday: 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

Hold Pick Up

Due to limited in-building hours and space, we highly recommend using Central Library's 13th Ave. Pick-up Window and Curbside Service for in-person card registration and hold pick-up.

Why doesn’t Central open until afternoon?

Mornings are reserved for intensive, loud construction activity.
Please note that Central is an active construction site and construction-related disruption is to be expected, even during open hours.

Are quiet study rooms available at Central?

Not at this time.

Most DPL locations offer study rooms.

Rodolfo Corky Gonzales Branch Library or Ford-Warren Branch Library are the nearest open locations.

When will the renovation be complete?

Heavy construction will continue through 2023.

What can we expect from the renovation?

Thanks to Denver voters, we have already added a new Children’s Library and customers can look forward to:

  • New elevators
  • New stairs
  • New restrooms
  • New event center
