We’ve made the difficult decision to end the circulation of technology at Denver Public Library.
As of July 30, customers will no longer be able to check out Chromebooks, Chromebooks with integrated wi-fi, and hotspots to take home. We know the community relies on us for digital access, and this decision does not come lightly.
DPL customers will continue to have access to technology through our free wi-fi at all our locations, our in-library desktop computers, the Chromebooks available for checkout to use within our locations, our Digital Navigators, and our programming.
Due to ongoing budget uncertainties, we are unable to sustain this program. Also, the service provider contract DPL has for the technology we currently have available for circulation is coming to an end later this summer. The timing of this change coincides with this end date.
