Lunar New Year

The Park Hill Branch Library will be closing to the public starting Wednesday, February 11 until Thursday, March 5 for fire alarm upgrades and Circulation Desk installation. Holds will be available at the Sam Gary Branch Library.

Lunar New Year is a celebration observed by many cultures across East and Southeast Asia, marking the beginning of the lunar calendar. The holiday begins with the first new moon of the lunar calendar and concludes 15 days later on the first full moon. It’s a time to honor cultural heritage, welcome new beginnings, and reflect on traditions passed down through generations. Join us to welcome the Lunar New Year 2026, the Year of the Horse, with a variety of festive activities for all ages!
