This is a wonderful book - part historic novel, part mystery, part romance. A highlands Malaysia tea plantation is the setting. The time period is post World War II. Characters include a gifted Japanese landscape designer, a former concentration camp prisoner, a European landowner. Very atmospheric and an interesting read.
