York was a professor at Denver University and published three books of poetry. He was a great proponent of Southern cooking and especially BBQ; one of his finest poems is about the ways in which food brings us together. And we come together for Jake Adam York – to hear some of his poems read out loud, have a little lemonade and sample some southern cooking. All are welcome!
