Thanks to funding from Strong Library, Strong Denver supported by the Denver Public Library Fund, we’re thrilled to launch online access to the New York Times!
Denver Public Library has long offered article access to current and back issues of the New York Times through our database providers, but now card holders have the opportunity to log in to the New York Times website and engage with everything it offers.
Our subscription is comprehensive and includes:
- New York Times News and Opinion
- New York Times Games: logic and word puzzles, including the daily crossword puzzle
- New York Times Cooking: thousands of recipes and guides for all skill levels
- The Athletic: in-depth, national sports coverage
Spanish, Mandarin, International, and Today’s Paper editions available. Enjoy podcasts, the Magazine, Book Review, Wirecutter, and much more!
How access works:
- Go to the login page for all four resources. There is a link on that page to access NYTimes.com if you’re at a library location. If you’re remote, you log in with your library card and password.
- Create a free NYTimes account with an email address and password. If you already have an account, you’ll need to create another one to use with the library’s subscription. You will be logging in to the NYTimes with your account whether you’re at the library or at a remote location.
- A 24 hour token is activated when logging in to NYTimes.com from a remote location. Access NYTimes.com as many times as you want during that 24 hour period. After 24 hours, simply activate another token from the library’s login page.
- Access to Games, Cooking, and The Athletic always requires a 24-hour token, whether you’re onsite or remote.
- Tokens are unlimited.
- Apps for NYTimes.com, Cooking, Games, and The Athletic are available for iOs and Android devices.
