Tag, You’re It! Use Libby Like a Pro

Help the Library: Instead of placing holds, use a tag to save and organize books you want to read until you’re ready. eBooks for libraries cost an average of $65—that’s up to 5x more than the public market!

Whether you’re already using the Libby app or you’re just getting started, we’ve got six pro tips to help you maximize Libby using tags.

  • Keep a Wishlist : Track your  wish list in the same place you read or listen.
  • Follow a Series: Tag all the books in a series and use the Borrowed tag to track which titles you’ve read and what’s up next.
  • Sort by Mood: Make tags like happy, sad, or scary so you can choose books that match your vibe.
  • Collect Recommendations: Tag books recommended by a specific friend, family member, or book club so you can read them later.
  • Plan Ahead: Got your eye on a title that’s coming soon? Use the Notify Me tag to get a heads up when it’s available or when the same author has a new release.

Start using Libby Tags today!

Just tap the tag icon on any title’s details page to save a suggested tag or create and name your own. Then, review your tags anytime by clicking the tag icon from the navigation bar.

Tags are like virtual sticky notes for your digital library—helping you keep track of what you want to read, what you’ve loved, and even what you’ve already finished
