Photo Release Guideline

The City and County of Denver (“Denver”), through its Denver Public Library (“DPL”) reserves the right to use photographs, audio and/or visual recordings taken at any branch library for Library purposes, including marketing efforts. This use includes in print & digital marketing, editorial publication, and/or any other communication format related to the support of the Library’s services and mission.

Denver Public Library is a public space, therefore, consent to use passive photos/recordings is assumed upon entering the library or participating in library events. As a courtesy, customers (especially those accompanying minors) may be consulted before being photographed. If a customer does not wish to be photographed/recorded, the customer must notify the Library staff to that effect.

If a customer is solicited by Denver Public Library staff for a photograph/recording that is intended for system wide campaigns, they may be asked to complete & sign a Release Form.
