Library Commission

About the Library Commission

The Denver Public Library is governed by a mayoral appointed Commission that has exclusive control of the library system. It sets policies and governs the system, providing overall strategic direction and budget oversight to ensure that the library offers the best possible service to the community.  The City Librarian reports to the Commission on strategic, fiscal and policy matters. The Library Commission does not engage in personnel issues or daily operational efforts of the library.
