Oscar-winning director Spike Lee (BlacKkKlansman) examines a Brooklyn neighborhood's simmering racial tensions on the hottest day of the year. The film was deemed culturally and historically significant by the Library of Congress. It also has the debut of Rosie Perez.

Second film in our summer film series: Love Thy Neighbor. Next film in August is Won't You Be My Neighbor.
