Join us every last Saturday for a movie, snacks, and a brief discussion.

We meet floundering screenwriter Joe Gillis (William Holden) face down, dead in a watery grave of his own reckoning. How did he get here? Well, when a man is forced to choose between continuing along a noxious career path in Los Angeles or moving back to Dayton, OH, death might seem the preferable option. Or at least the visage of it, whom he meets in the form of Norma Desmond (Gloria Swanson), the silent film star of Hollywood’s yesteryear. Norma welcomes him into her delusional fantasy in hopes that the young scribe can restore her career to its former glory. But of course, in the City of Dreams, nothing is as it seems, as fantasy soon gives way to reality, betrayal and eventually…nightmare.

Join us for this Billy Wilder classic to discover a time when the pictures were BIG!
