Do you know how to recognize, refuse, and report fraud? To help consumers stay a step ahead of scammers, StopFraud Colorado and DenverConnect are hosting this informational fraud-fighting session. The program will feature a discussion from Jan Zavislan, Senior Counsel for the Consumer Protection Section at the Colorado Attorney General's Office. Zavislan is well-versed on many frauds and scams happening around the state, has been with the Colorado Attorney General’s Office for 31 years, and has prosecuted many companies who violated the Colorado Consumer Protection Act.

StopFraud Colorado was developed by the Consumer Protection Section of the Colorado Attorney General’s Office to support the mission of protecting consumers and businesses from the unscrupulous behavior of fraudsters operating throughout our state. DenverConnect is an innovative mobile resource that brings state and city services and resources to neighborhoods and places where older adults live and gather. The Colorado Attorney General’s Office and the Office on Aging’s DenverConnect Van started a partnership in 2019 to provide educational consumer protection programming.
