Event Details

Come hear the story behind the Eye to Eye exhibit of photos on display in the Bob Ragland Branch Library. In this special presentation, the photographer, Carey Candrian, will talk about what inspired her to take these photographs and the choices she made in who to photograph and how.

Afterwards, we will hear from a panel of some of the folks who are the subjects of the photographs. They will share their experiences growing up in a culture that was largely intolerant towards the LGBTQ community. Panelists will share stories about what life was like when they were coming out, how they coped, how they survived, even thrived, and what they want the community to know now.
