Career Online High School

Colorful text with words career online high schoolCareer Online High School (COHS) is an online high school diploma and career certification program funded by the Denver Public Library. Residents of the City and County of Denver who have completed eighth grade and are 19-years-old or older are eligible to apply.

Students who attended high school and did not complete it, may be able to transfer previously earned credits. Students who successfully completed General Equivalency Diploma (GED®) segments may be able to apply towards their course work through the library.

In addition to its current Career Online High School program, Denver Public Library is proud to now offer an additional program to a limited number of students to earn their high school diploma with the possibility to earn college credit in the Excel Adult High School program.

Application Process

In order to enroll, students must successfully pass an online self-assessment with an essay question and prerequisite course from one of the career choices. After completing the prerequisite course you will be invited to an interview. A determination will be made by the Library’s enrollment team after the interview regarding scholarship award.
