Join us for an a-maze-ing after-hours family party! Discover the secrets hidden in our giant Harry Potter Triwizard cardboard maze and nosh on tasty Honeydukes snacks. The maze will be big enough for families to explore together. This is a family event. No unaccompanied adults or kids, please. Only the West (Museum) Entrance will be open for this after-hours event.

Members of the Rocky Mountain Wa Shonaji Quilt Guild will depict their individual journeys to Colorado. These quilts, original in design, are 18" x 24" and will be displayed both vertically and horizontally, with no borders or bindings, so that when hung together the roads and byways the members traveled will connect them to Denver.
A moving tribute toward the triumphant movement of conscious giving for social change, shared through photos and words of African American philanthropists, including Denver notables.

Join us for the first ever Rodolfo "Corky" Gonzales Mini-Con -- we'll have activities & talks all afternoon long! Come dressed as your favorite character & celebrate comics and pop culture at the library.
1-2 pm: Design & create your own comics with the Denver Zine Library!
2-3 pm: Comics Trivia! Test your DC vs. Marvel knowledge and beyond to win prizes.
3-4 pm: Do comics represent our community? Join us to discuss diversity in comics, and why it matters.
4-4:30 pm: Costume contest -- we'll have multiple categories and more prizes, so make sure to dress to impress!
The Denver Public Library and the Denver Public Library Commission would like to invite you to celebrate the winners of the Lena L. Archuleta Community Service Award and the Cesar Chavez Latino Leadership Hall of Fame Award on Saturday, September 12, 2015, 10 a.m.-noon at the Rodolfo "Corky" Gonzales Branch Library.
This event will kick off the National Hispanic Heritage Month.

For many downtown office workers this is their day-to-day life. The Denver Public Library and Denver Animal Shelter are teaming up to help these needy office workers break the shackles of sedentary, corporate life. Come and see big-hearted, friendly adoption dogs rescue loving people and take them for a walk. They’ll even take you out for a spin – that’s how much these dogs care about you!
