Omar Apollo is a soul-influenced indie pop singer from Indiana. He started playing guitar at age 12, receiving early guidance on the instrument from an uncle visiting from Mexico, he continued his musical training with a steady diet of YouTube instructional videos. Soon he was recording and uploading songs online. channel ORANGE is the debut studio album by American R&B singer-songwriter Frank Ocean. Released by Def Jam Recordings, featuring guest appearances from rappers Earl Sweatshirt, Tyler, the Creator, André 3000, and guitarist John Mayer, the album draws on electro-funk, pop-soul, jazz-funk, and psychedelic styles, with film dialogue and ambient noise functioning as interludes. The album title is a reference to the neurological phenomenon grapheme–color synesthesia, through which the artist had perceived the color orange during the summer he first fell in love.
