Event Details

Kwanzaa is a celebration that honors the African first fruits harvest tradition. Take part in a festive virtual experience highlighting the principle of Kuumba (Creativity). The program will feature Friends of Joda who will welcome us into the space, provide an introduction to Kwanzaa, and end with a joyful dance party to conclude the series. Ideal for all ages.

Please click here on Saturday, December 31 at 1:00 PM to join the program or register below if you'd like to receive an email reminder. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email with instructions on how to join this virtual Zoom session.

The Friends of Joda collective is a tribute to the memory of the late, great Baba Adejunti Joda. The dances and drumming performed reflect the language and culture of the Yoruba people from the West African nation of Nigeria.

*Kuumba (koo-OOM-bah) To always do as much as we can, in the way that we can, in order to leave our community more beautiful than when we inherited it.
