Fighting for Rights: Women's Movements on the Frontlines of Change

Women's rights are under attack around the globe. Yet, there are signs of hope amidst this backsliding, much of which can be found on the frontlines of social movements demanding change and protecting freedoms. Drawing on stories from women activists in these movements—from the #NiUnaMenos in Argentina, to the campaign for abortion rights in Ireland, to movements against sexual violence in India and the US—Marie Berry's latest book project explores how women are challenging the erosion of rights at the grassroots. Despite the profound differences between the countries these women hail from and the causes they are fighting for, their stories reveal a shared struggle of a fight for women’s rights in the face of great personal and political difficulty.
