Introducing DPL's New Infrastructure Dashboard
Denver Public Library has launched a new Infrastructure Dashboard to keep the public informed about construction projects across the system.
The dashboard includes details, pictures, and budgets for current and recently completed bond projects covered by the 2017 Elevate Denver Bond and the 2021 RISE Denver Bond. It will be updated quarterly and will grow to include future bond projects, major branch improvements, and sustainability projects over time.

Virginia Village and Ross-Cherry Creek are now open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Sundays.

Mobile Services & Outreach
Home Delivery Program
We offer Home Delivery service to anyone in the City & County of Denver who is unable to get to a library due barriers like physical ability or transportation. We will match a staff member or volunteer with each customer for delivery right to their front door. For questions on eligibility please email to homedelivery@denverlibrary.org or call 720-865-1351.
Bookmobile Services
The Denver Public Library is excited to roll out two new bookmobiles for library service in Southeast Denver. Join us at one of our scheduled bookmobile stops to pick up holds, browse our collections, and checkout library materials. Denver Public Library hosted 3 community Q&A events in Southeast Denver in May, June, and July 2026 to address project questions, share information and resources during the branch closures.
About the Closures
The Southeast branches were already slated to temporarily close for a minimum of 18 months for bond renovations in 2026. While the timeline may seem long, it reflects the scope of the improvements being made. The renovations will include significant upgrades both inside and out enhancing landscaping, sidewalks, lighting, and parking lots; improving accessibility and interior spaces such as entrances, elevators, restrooms, community rooms, children’s areas, and staff work areas; redesigning shelving and learning spaces; updating building systems like HVAC, safety, electrical, and technology; and adding new finishes, furniture, fixtures, and signage. These renovations will ensure the branches remain welcoming, accessible and modern spaces for decades to come.
Due to the City’s budget reduction, we are temporarily closing a few months earlier than anticipated. This early closure allows us the opportunity to meet our budget goals and keep our staff employed. Please know we didn’t take this decision lightly.
