The program will feature Friends of Joda who will welcome us into the space and provide an introduction to Kwanzaa and Dexter Nelson II, History Colorado's Associate Curator of African American History, will discuss his work building the current collections representing the various African American experiences in the West as well as work to foster equality in all that History Colorado does. Q & A to follow. Ideal for all ages.

Please click here on Friday, December 30 at 1:00 PM to join the program or register below if you'd like to receive an email reminder. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email with instructions on how to join this virtual Zoom session.

Dexter Nelson II is the Associate Curator of African American History and Cultural Heritage for History Colorado, formerly known as the Colorado State Historical Society. He is tasked with helping History Colorado move towards eliminating white supremacy and giving value to stories traditionally ignored or eliminated completely. There is a very real opportunity to both build the current collections representing the various African American experiences in the West as well as to work with both staff and community members to foster equality in all that History Colorado does.

*Nia (nee-AH) - To make as our collective vocation the building and developing of our community in order to restore our people to their traditional greatness.
