Do you enjoy books, music and movies but need assistance in getting materials to you or someone you know?
Denver Public Library offers Home Delivery service to anyone in the City & County of Denver who is unable to get to a library due to physical ability or age. We will match a DPL team member with each customer for easy, contactless delivery right to their front door.
How does the Home Delivery Program work?
- Each eligible customer is matched with a DPL team member. Library materials are delivered to the customer's home.
- Items ready for return will be picked up at the customer’s home. We are not able to mail items.
- Frequency of deliveries depends on the customer reading habits, availability of holds and customer and team member schedules. Typically, delivery and pickup are arranged between the customer and the home delivery team member.
What library materials are offered through the program?
Materials available for delivery include more than 2.2 million regular, large print and audio books, CDs and DVDs.
How do I get started?
Both customers and team members can send an email to homedelivery@denverlibrary.org or call 720-865-1351.
We will be in touch with you to sign up for the home delivery program. Once a match has been made, you will be notified and service will begin.
If you would like to be a volunteer team member and join the home delivery team in serving the customers in our community, please apply using our volunteer form.
I’ve signed up for Home Delivery. How can I request materials?
If you have access to a computer or smartphone, browse our online catalog and place the items you want on hold. (However, no computer is necessary as your assigned team member can put items on hold on your behalf.) Then, call 720-865-1351 or send an email to homedelivery@denverlibrary.org to schedule your delivery.
Currently, the Denver Public Library does not have a mail service for home delivery.
