Program Description

Event Details

Memory Cafe is a fun place to socialize, relax, and engage with people experiencing memory loss and their families/caregivers. Each cafe has a focus—such as music or art—to facilitate the main goal, which is a social connection for individuals with shared experiences. At the Memory Cafe, you can just be yourself -- without worrying about remembering or forgetting.

Theme: Wild Colors: Natural Dyes with Denver Museum of Nature & Science

What’s YOUR favorite color?  Wear it to this session as we explore nature’s vibrant palette with Denver Museum of Nature & Science, inspired by the Museum’s temporary exhibition, Wild Color, on view until April 7.  See if you can guess which plants render which colors when used as natural dyes, then experiment with the chemistry of color mixing. Finally, listen to a colorful playlist of songs as you channel your inner artist and create your own watercolor bookmark!

This program will be held in person at the Virginia Village Library
