Event Details

Do you ever feel powerless and frustrated? Self-advocacy contains tools and skills to empower you and spur connection with a supportive community. As part of Disability Pride Month, learn about the 50+ year history of self advocacy that started in communities of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, expanded into the larger disability community, and is available to everyone. Come discuss history and skills that you can apply to your life today. Presenters are local disabled self-advocates. Teens of all identities are welcome.
