Chromebooks and Internet Hotspots Now Available to Borrow!

Almost 20% of Denver households still do not have broadband service at home, and low-income households and vulnerable groups are much less likely to have access. Access to computers and internet has always been a popular service at our libraries and with the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, it continues to be a critical need in our communities.

To help address this need, on February 1, we added a large collection of Chromebooks and internet hotspots to our circulating collection. All of these items will check out for a 3-month period. Anyone with a full privilege, permanent DPL library card in good standing can borrow these items. You can place a request via our online catalog or by calling 720-865-1111. Our library buildings remain closed, but we offer curbside pickup (and returns) at all of our locations. These items cannot be returned via a book drop.

There are 3 options for checkout:

Many thanks to Denver Economic Development and Opportunity (DEDO) for helping to make this new collection possible!

For those who may not be able to borrow one of these items, we are also still offering free Wi-Fi outside of all library locations 24/7, and outdoor computer access at many of our locations.
