Darlings, Get Yourself to the Theatre for Holiday Fun!

Phoebe Reese, blogging for a cause -- Holiday cheer for all of you -- and a good sturdy new year start for Fresh City Life. Plus single-handedly saving Denver theatre.

Hello my little rum balls!

Pictured left top photo, Phoebe Reese and her littlest fan. Can you tell how much I adore children from this photo? Well I do!, But these tiny tots have no visible means of support -- they don't buy theatre tickets or souvenir programs or cocktails at intermission. What a bore! Second pic is the adorable trio who founded Balls: Melanie Owen Padilla, Mare Trevathan and GerRee Hinshaw. Aren't they sweet?

Balls: A Holiday Spectacular is right around the corner!

Phoebe Reese -- all smiles for the waiting reporters.

Bringing a cheerful basket of Balls to you for the Holidays!

 Hello My Little Rum Balls!

Hope you like my new publicity photos! Chris is still in Cleveland, and I'm breathlessly putting together an amazing show for you. Mare Trevathan, Melanie Owen Padilla and GerRee Hinshaw are pouring out their hearts and souls for this extravaganza and it's all to benefit Fresh City Life. Chris tells me via Cleveland that Fresh City Life puts on a variety of cultural events for the citizens of Denver, the great majority of which are free! That's a better deal than universal healthcare!

While Chris Loffelmacher attends the International Cultural Programming Symposium in Cleveland, his friend, Phoebe Reese (entertainer, party hostess and self-proclaimed celebrity), will be filling in and sending you up-to-the-minute blogs on what's happening at Fresh City Life:

 Hello My Little Pumpkins!

I'm commandeering Chris' blog for a couple weeks while he takes in all the cultural offerings in Cleveland. Chris and I go way back, we grew up together in North Dakota and then met again years later while my star was rising in San Francisco. He was a clerk in a gift shop -- and though we were an unlikely pair, we became fast friends. My star never stopped rising...and now I believe Chris is a clerk of some kind at the library...so we've both come a long way.
