Let's talk about SEX

Yup, that's right. Today's topic is SEX.

Let's be honest. Kids and teenagers probably know what sex is and what it's about; I mean how can they not!? TV, movies, music, art, etc. are filled with it.

The INFAMOUS COLFAX Ave

Colfax Avenue, the most infamous street in Colorado, and perhaps in the U.S, is synonymous with Denver. This famous road, once dubbed by Hugh Hefner in the 70's to be the "Longest, Wickedest Street in America," in my opinion still lives up to that title. Colfax Avenue has it all; from the rich, to the poor, and everything in between. Whatever you want in the entire world can be found on these 26.1 miles of road.

Outdoor and Up, Up and Away! Free movie outside the library tonight!

Come rain or shine -- Fresh City Life is hosting our first outdoor movie tonight. We're featuring Pixar's new classic UP.

Bring a blanket or your favorite camp chair, and we'll have extra chairs, too, so you can travel light. Judith, from our film series committee, will be on hand to sell some cooling beverages and snacks.

It will be a fun, experimental event. And not to worry, if the weather becomes too threatening, we're all set to move into the basement for the evening. Showtime is dusk (about 8:45p) and we look forward to seeing you for this great flick.

Over the river and through the woods -- to Katie's house we go

Katie Holmes as April

Katie Holmes hosts us for a memorable Thanksgiving dinner in Pieces of April. Fresh City Life serves it up with a slice of pie.

A relaxing get-together for knitters and other crafters, KnitFlix meets once a month in the Fresh City Lounge for an eclectic mix of classic and contemporary films. Guests may bring favorite beverages and nibbles, and have been known to comment on the film while it plays - KnitFlix is like going to a friend’s house to watch a film. Grab your knitting and let’s go to the movies!

For November, we continue a tradition of showing a film highlighting the most American of all holidays -- and will dish it up with a slice of pumpkin pie, if you've got room for dessert!
