Holiday Gift Guide: Books for Kids & Teens

That Is NOT a Good Idea!

The holidays are almost upon us, and here at Denver Public Library the Children's Librarians have been hard at work, gathering the very best books published in 2013 to help you give the gift of reading to the children and teens in your life.

Books for the Very Youngest

Alphablock by Christopher Franceschelli, illustrated by Peskimo.  Alphablock is a lift-the-letter-as-the-flap book with the die-cut letter on top and the pictorial representation underneath. This beautiful book will be read again and again.

It's A Wrap: Gift wrapping for a little Ooh La La!

This year's Paris Holiday Market will feature a booth where you can stop and have a package or two wrapped in very French papers, ribbons and tags. All proceeds from this booth will benefit Denver Public Library's Fresh City Life events and programs.

After you've wandered around our Paris Holiday Market, and chosen a few perfect, handcrafted items -- you can drop them off at our special booth to be wrapped in the French way of presenting gifts. All wrapping will be supervised by an expert in French presentation and your purchases will lend a festive touch to any holiday setting.

Wrapping will be done for a nominal fee and all proceeds from this booth will support free adult cultural programming at Denver Public Library. Sometimes in order to give you have to get! C'est dommage!
