10 a.m. at Schlessman: Dr. Eric Zacharias, author of The Mediterranean Diet: A Clinician's Guide for Patient Care, will share the health benefits of a Mediterranean diet. Not just for doctors!

Feed your mind AND your body by learning how to cook with all the wonderful bounty available at this time of year in Cooking from the Farmer's Market on Tuesday, September 11 at 6 p.m. at the Ross-Cherry Creek Branch. Monica Kadillak will inspire you with ideas for all those fresh fruits, veggies, and herbs that are plentiful at the farmer's market or in your own garden! Recipes and samples included.

Learn about the rich military history of Denver's two oldest cemeteries, Fairmount and Riverside, going all the way back to the Civil War, including eight Medal of Honor recipients, the Spanish-American War, and Nisei. Bring an unopened toiletry item to be donated to the Denver Veteran's Hospital for veterans in need. Presented by Fairmount Heritage Foundation volunteers Garry & Joan O'Hara.
