Denver Public Library is thrilled to host Lazar for an exclusive reading and talk about his most recent novel, I Pity the Poor Immigrant, called 'brilliant' in the New York Times Book Review. Artfully blending the history of mobster, Meyer Lansky, with an eccentric cast of real and imagined characters, Lazar’s novel has been garnering fantastic reviews from readers and critics alike.
