Calling all stitchers! Enjoy the company of other crafters while sharing your most intriguing read of the month, whether it’s a novel, poem, magazine, or newspaper article. We will supply limited materials and instructions, but please bring your own project and share your favorite read. Toasty warm drinks will be served!

Tin Art Workshop / Taller de Repujado Artístico

We will present a workshop about the basic techniques for making tin art. Each participant will make their own piece of tin art, whether by utilizing a traditional pattern or by creating an original design. This program is bilingual (English and Spanish), free and for all ages.

En este taller enseñaremos las técnicas básicas utilizadas para hacer obras de repujado. Cada participante hará su propia obra de repujado usando un diseño tradicional o creando su propio diseño original. Este programa es bilingüe (español e inglés), gratis y para todas las edades.

Once a British colonial territory, today Malaysia is home to an ethnically-diverse population of about 30 million people, including a sizable Chinese minority. Active Minds will explore the history of Malaysia, its current role in the region and the world, and the events involving Malaysia Airlines Flights.

New Orleans: Biography of a City

A true American jewel, New Orleans is famous for its cuisine, French Creole influence, jazz music, and, of course, Mardi Gras! Active Minds will explore the colorful history, culture and people of the “Big Easy,” including the unique challenges of living in a coastal city where nearly half the land is below sea level. Bring your colored beads and your jazz trumpet!

The original construction of the canal is an incredible engineering triumph, as well as a story of challenge and conflict. Coffee: A Brief History

The United States spends over $40 Billion on coffee annually. Active Minds will trace the history of coffee from its origins in Ethiopia to the Starbucks around the corner. It is a fascinating story of politics, power, chance, and intrigue. We will also examine coffee's cultural influences, as well as the differences between various types of coffee. Dumb Friends League Click and Learn

Life Skills

In this class with the Denver Dumb Friends League, students experience what it’s like to try and understand training from the animal’s perspective, as the student becomes the one being trained. Using positive-reinforcement techniques, including rewards and a clicker, the instructor leads the class through an interactive training session. Sorry, please leave your pet at home.
