by Michael Bronski

Reviewer Rating:

Pulling information from a variety of primary sources, Michael Bronski has created an amazing view of United States history through an LGBTQ lens from the 1400's to the 1990's. While the first half of his book is much stronger than the second half, the book was an incredibly fascinating read which will prompt the reader to further investigate topics discussed in the book. This is a "lighter" introduction history book, reading more like a narrative, which may appeal to people who find it difficult settling down with non-fiction.
