Reviewer Rating:

A unique graphic novel about one person's pregnancy experience. How many pregnant women have to tell their landlord no, I'm not getting fat, I'm having a baby--and then go on to explain that no, they're not adopting? Teek's experiences questioning her own identity, desirability, with various medical providers, and reasons for not only wanting to be a parent, but to carry the child, are examined with both insight and humor. For anyone with an interest in pregnancy stories--both the individual/personal and universal experiences--and anyone who likes a bit of humor and politics in their graphic memoirs.
