Reviewer Rating:

A wonderfully pulpy thriller that I couldn't help but read in one sitting. Kick was abducted as a child and spent five years with a "family" of pedophiles. Her return to her family at the age of 11 was a national sensation.  Since then, she has spent the last 10 years trying to forget her past. Kick is determined to never be a victim again: she knows how to shoot a gun, pick a lock, and 531 ways to kill a man with her hands. But it is not enough when mysterious Bishop comes calling and demands that she help him find two missing kids. Do these kids have anything to do with her past? She is deathly afraid of the answer. One Kick is not high art but it is a great ride. First in a new series.
