This book is a unique look at Alexander Mcqueen’s work from a behind the scenes perspective. I enjoyed it because it has a more intimate feel than other books presenting a portfolio view of his work. I really appreciated the arrangement by shows and with the pre-post show photos you get a real feel for the spectacular events his fashion shows were. The behind the scenes feel also is interesting because there is a different sense of how the works fit on the models outside of performance, he really was a master tailor. If you’re looking for more of a biography I’d recommend Alexander Mcqueen: The Life and Legacy, but Love Looks Not With Eyes is a dazzling visual compilation if you’re ever looking for even more imagery of Alexander Mcqueen’s work.
