A must read if you liked Perks of Being a Wallflower. The emotions are pretty raw. In the beginning, you think that Laurel is just grieving the death of her sister, May, but as Laurel processes her loss she learns she can't hide all the things she was hiding from herself.  The topic and themes are real and very emotionally heavy. I enjoyed reading the book because it didn't sugar coat the subject, if anything maybe it can help kids open up to someone they trust about serious subjects.
