Reviewer Rating:

Little Big Man is an epic Western narrated by the subtlety humorous 111 year old Jack Crabb. His strange life is depicted in this long and winding tale that begins with Crabb as a 10 year old living with the Cheyenne tribe. He goes on to recollect his intimate involvement in all aspects of the developing American West. Berger writes with wit and historical awareness about an adventurous and interesting time period, in which Jack Crabb embodies all the contradictions and spirit of those times.
