Reviewer Rating:

Never having been an Anglophile or a royal family watcher, I was nonetheless intrigued by Kate and William’s courtship, royal wedding and the birth of their son, Prince George—3rd in line to become King of England. Ms. Nicholl, unable to directly interview Kate or William, compiled the information and anecdotes gathered from their close friends and relatives into a very readable, factual and rather lovely tale of a private friendship that blossomed into a love affair and a very public courtship. Some things I learned: their friends fiercely protected their relationship from prying eyes and the media, they were fast college friends before they became lovers and Kate was incredibly patient while William pursued a military career and began to take on more official royal functions. Because it was so accessible, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
