Reviewer Rating:

The first in what has become series; I can see why readers like her books. The story is about Jo Marie Rose, a widow whose husband has been killed in Afghanistan. As part of the moving forward process, she buys a B&B on Puget Sound.  This story tells about her first customers and of her becoming part of the community. The author's style is easy and comfortable and you can tell that the book is going to be just a good story.  The characters are fine – not too shallow with room to learn more about them in the future.  Biggest caveat – you  can see where the story is going so it’s a little pat but there is comfort in that especially when it is well-written.
