After completing a world tour in 2006, Sigur Rós decided to play a series of free and largely unannounced concerts in their native land of Iceland. Playing in diverse locales such as a protest camp, an abandoned fish factory, and a village dining hall, the shows attracted all ages of curious residents and devoted fans. The film transitions between the live shows, interviews with band members, and beautiful shots of the Icelandic landscape. Although "concert" films are typically disappointing and consist merely of video footage of actual shows, this film succeeds in creating an entirely unique experience that is both a testament to this amazing band and an homage to their homeland.
