Do we need another fairy tale anthology?  Are there any Grimm tales we haven't heard already?  The answer, my friends, is yes on both counts. This book is a great addition to your fairy tale library-take it from someone who has enthusiastically surveyed volume after volume of fairy stories and folk tales.  Fairy Tales from the Brothers Grimm is compiled and edited by fantasy master Philip Pullman, who stays true to the storytelling tradition with his narrative style.  His pithy, conversational tone feels exactly like a fairy tale should-as though the storyteller was sitting right next to you.  The anthology includes beloved favorites, such as Hansel and Gretel, but also the lesser-known tales, like Godfather Death and Lady Heinz.  If you've finished all of the fairy tale collections out there, this is a great book to turn to-I bet you'll find a story you hadn't heard before.
