The book was a bit slow for me in the beginning, but if you have enough patience to get through the story starts unfolding wonderfully.  Claire, who is just trying to get through senior year feels like the it will never happen for her because her past will always haunt her. So does she really make through her senior year? I'll never tell, but it's worth the read.

I love the use of poetry throughout the book. I am not a pro on Dickinson's writing, so I don't know if they are using some of her work in the book or poerty that mimic's Dickinson. But it definitely creates great imagery for story. Once all the characters start developing with the story it keeps the reader moving with it.
