This is hands down the most gorgeous, interesting, and engaging science documentary I've seen in quite some time. Created using footage from a variety of satellites, Earth From Space shows the larger cycles that drive climate and local ecosystems. Did you know that the Amazon rainforest wouldn't exist if it wasn't for sediments blown across the Atlantic from the Sahara? Or that Antarctica is literally walled off by air and water currents from the rest of the world? I've watched this twice on PBS and I'm still eagerly awaiting a hold so I can watch the last hour when I'm actually awake. It's David Attenborough good.

I loved this, too. Quite in depth, and amazing to find out all they have learned about the earth from satellites orbiting the globe. It's a couple hours long, but very well done.
