Purebred dogs and mutts gather together in a dark abandoned building for the first annual meeting of WOOF (Words of Our Friends). Old, gray Beauregard calls the meeting to order. He explains how dogs have been working for years to promote a worldwide understanding that dogs actually have advanced vocabularies and are accomplished storytellers. WOOF members have collected vital stories from dogs across the world and throughout history and are ready to share some of them. On this eventful night, they tell 11 stories including: Abu, the dog who ruled Egypt; Dawg, a Colorado gold miner; Marcus, survivor of Pompeii; Bo, who foiled a bank robber; and Tidbit, a Grand Ole Opry singer.
