by David Lynch

Reviewer Rating:

You don't need to "get" David Lynch to be wowed by this book. He describes the process of trolling the waters of consciousness via meditation to catch the big idea. I picture Lynch, however, surfing an undulating wave and art happens when he rides the crest. Either way, discipline is the core of consistent creativity for Lynch, a truism for many artists. Brian Eno "gets it" and noted elsewhere in an interview that doing one's craft isn't always about producing "great stuff all the time, but to remain ready for when you can." Lynch is ready and teaches other creative enthusiasts how to fish without a license or quota.
