Valkyrie (Valley) White is 15. She believes the government killed her family. She has a bomb strapped to her chest. This tension filled book puts you into Valley's mind, giving you a glimpse of how a 15 year old girl can end up a suicide bomber. She grew up in isolation, totally off the grid, with just her paranoid father and her brother Bo. Valley's father has warned his children about "Those People" and how the black helicopters that killed their mother are out to get them, how they must hide, prepare, be ready for anything. After their father's death, Valley and Bo are on the run, seeking shelter with people who their father worked with, building bombs, delivering human cargo. The narrative, which goes from Valley's past to the one day when it might all end for her, will keep you on the edge of your seat.
