Newman Center Concert Tickets

We are delighted to continue our partnership with the Newman Center to provide Denver Public Library customers with tickets for select music and theater performances. The Newman Center is a multi-disciplinary arts venue at the University of Denver that provides innovative, diverse, and thought-provoking performance and education opportunities that enable the community to be engaged, inspired, and connected through the arts.

  • Tickets will be awarded through a random lottery. A permanent DPL library card in good standing is required. 
  • Winners will be notified by an email notification within a few days of the lottery. 
  • You will receive two tickets to the performance
  • Tickets will be held at will call under the name provided for the lottery. Visit the box office on the night of the show and present a valid ID.

Okaidja Afroso's distinct musical sound hails from the shores of Ghana, combining ancestral traditions and contemporary African music. His Jaku Mumor project dives into his cultural roots by collaborating with Gadangme fishermen to share the full artistry of their a cappella singing and chants that awaken the spirit of the human soul.

Virtuoso pianist Vijay Iyer, Grammy-winner Arooj Aftab and multi-instrumentalist Shahzad Ismaily are three U.S. based South Asian artists forging a singular voice that draws upon their musical backgrounds to create a lush and haunting soundscape of meditation and yearning.
