Museum Passes, Cultural Tours and Ticket Vouchers

Reservations may be booked 2 weeks in advance. A library pass does not guarantee entry. Registration processes vary by institution and additional registration steps for timed entry may be required. Please see instructions for each institution below. 

Butterfly Pavilion

Check the Butterfly Pavilion website for complete safety guidelines. Guests ages 3 and above will not be allowed entry without adequate face covering. Butterfly Pavilion will be offering timed entry tickets every 20 minutes with a 20 guest maximum

  • The library pass is only valid for the date listed.
  • Tickets are available to reserve two weeks at time. Tickets are non-transferable to another time slot at this time.
  • Tickets are available on a first come, first serve basis for all members and guests. Time slots may be sold out.
  • Library pass holders present the pass at the front desk during check-in.
  • Admission valid for ONE free entry, $5 entry for each additional person, children under two free, up to 4 total in the party. Reservations required for all guests.

Denver Firefighters Museum - Closed until further notice

Check the Denver Firefighters Museum website for complete safety guidelines.  Masks are required for visitors aged 3 and older. Maintain a 6 foot distance from others outside your own group.

Denver Museum of Nature and Science

Check the DMNS website for complete safety guidelines. Due to the latest COVID-19 restrictions, the Museum has temporarily closed the IMAX Theater, Gates Planetarium and restaurant. You may purchase takeout items in the deli. Additionally, the Museum will continue operating at 25 percent capacity. DMNS is working closely with city officials to ensure we can remain open and safely serve our community. All guests ages 3 and older are required to wear a face covering over their nose and mouth at all times while visiting the Museum.

  • Children under the age of three will need a ticket for every experience at the Museum. The museum is implementing this ticketing procedure due to having multiple spaces with required limited capacity like the "Discovery Zone" and "Space Odyssey." 
  • SUE: The T. rex Experience temporary exhibition requires a paid, timed ticket in addition to a timed ticket for Museum entry. Call 303.370.6306 to secure a timed ticket for Museum entry AND purchase a timed ticket for the SUE exhibition ($8 adult/$6 child).  
  • The IMAX and Planetarium are open with limited seating. Please call 303.370.6306 to purchase tickets. 
  • Admission is valid for up to 7 in total party.

Denver Zoo

  • Reserve a library museum pass for the day of your visit
  • Proceed to the library registration system and visit the Denver Zoo website for Community Tickets and reserve timed entry tickets for each visitor in your party. A limited number of Community Tickets are available daily
  • Bring your physical library card, library museum pass and community tickets to the Denver Zoo to show proof of the DPL library pass program. eCards will not be accepted
  • Admission is based on the number of reserved Community Tickets. Please consider purchasing tickets to help support the zoo animals

Forney Museum of Transportation

Check the Forney Museum of Transportation website for complete safety guidelines. Visitors over the age of 2 will not be allowed entry without adequate face covering. Practice social distancing – staying at least six feet away from visitors not in your party. No bags, purses or lockers are allowed at this time.
Current hours are Thursday-Saturday, 10am - 4pm, and Sunday, 12pm - 4pm.

  • Reserve a library museum pass on the date you would like to attend. Timed entry tickets are no longer required. Simply bring your printed pass or display the pass on your mobile device. 
  • Admission is valid for a party of up to 3, dependent on availability during the desired time slot. Children under 3 do not count towards the reservation.

History Colorado Center

History Colorado offers a free year-long membership to all fourth grade students in the state. 

Molly Brown House Museum

Current museum hours are Thursday - Sunday from 10a.m. - 4p.m. All guests are requited to wear masks while at the museum and maintain 6 ft of distance between themselves and other guests/staff. Visit Mollybown.org for complete safety guidelines.

Museo de las Americas

Current hours at the Museo de las Americas are Tuesday-Friday 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm and Saturday from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

Museum of Contemporary Art Denver

A permanent DPL library card in good standing is required to make a reservation to all cultural institutions; the card holder may be asked to present a valid ID and library card at the museum. Each cardholder may reserve a pass once every 365 days at Denver Zoo, and once every 182 days at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science; all other passes may be reserved every 30 days. Check the museum or cultural institution's website prior to your visit for unexpected closures or special events.
